Default BMC?

http://www.nj.com/hudsoncountynow/in...d_in_bayo.html Is it normal to transport a person who just fell off scaffolding to JC Medical Center than to BMC? Jude

Default BMC?

I would hope so Jude! Medical Center can handle trauma, BMC cannot. This is why i was not in favor of saving the BMC. BMC does not save lives, any critical incidents must go to a trauma capable facility. BMC should close and be replaced by a clinic system and extended outpatient services. They are not good at primary care.

Default BMC?

Way back in '94 my then 4 year old son accidentally poisoned his baby sister (fear not she survived and never lets her brother forget) and she was taken to a JC hospital not BMC. So, it would seem that a lot of emergency care is shipped out of town then & now.
