It has been confirmed by anonymous source to me today that:

1) There is no final letter from the Army on the issue. The letter that has been incorrectly cited by the Hudson Reporter was a response to the city's ongoing discussion with the Army. As of today the Army has taken no hard line on this issue.

2)  There is no special meeting tonight by the city council. Tonight's meeting is the regularly scheduled monthly meeting.

3) This is not on the agenda for tonight's council meeting, and it will not be added.

I have further been informed that the nature of the negotiations going on between the Army & the city were to have been held in private. City Hall is currently trying to discover if there is an actual leak from within. However the city appears to be most troubled not by the leak, but by the extreme inaccuracy of the leak.
