Wednesday 3/26/08 @ 7PM at the high-school

Tuesday 4/1/08 @ 7PM at the high-school
Some notes:

[*]Funding has increased by $8.4 M (foresee-ably sustained ~ 3 years) which is a capped 20%.
[*]Further property development (notably The Peninsula area development) will change funding - I couldn't help but wonder which way, more or less AND what would these abatements mean for school funding.
[*]The best Guestimate of increase in student for 2008-9 is 350 based on parochial school consolidation, etc. With a foreseeable 20 person staff increase-which was questioned as to why so many for 20 children.
[*]There is a security funding per student (see attached) that at the moment has no use restriction. It was felt that specific use requirements may be implemented down the road.
[*]There should be no foreseeable near future need for tax increase with the additional aid.
[*]Statistically, each 2 family home in Bayonne contributes 2.5 children each to the district.
[*]Boatworks only brought 1 child into the school district.
[*]The Peninsula Development will bring ? number of children into the district.
[*]Bayonne has 40% Free or reduced lunch students
[*]There are 640 School districts in New Jersey[/list]
