curious what others think of this place
i think its average at best
treadmills are hideously filthy
many of the tvs have half broken controls
many tvs inexplicably have never earned their own tv

I agree about the monopoly statement.

The real problem is that you can tell LeFrak carefully designs the "fitness rooms" of the surrounding buildings so if you wan't any kind of real workout, you have join their gym. They put in just enough equipment that they could claim they have facilities, but that is it.

Newport's class schedule doesn't look that great, and the fact they charge so much extra for the tennis courts is an outrage. This is prime tennis playing time, and the courts are used an hour a day at most (and then only one court) Lower the prices!!!

agreed. At any given time; 50% of the treadmills will be out of order. Where do all the monthly membership fees go?
